Maternity Photos

Yesterday Chad and I went to have a special photo session done to capture this special time in our lives....we had such a great time and the weather was absolutely gorgeous! Erin knew that I was wanting to get some nice photos done to show my "bump" and set everything up for us as a surprise. Sometimes I just don't know how I got so lucky to have such an incredible sister. Thank you Erin for helping make sure we preserve these last wonderful moments of my pregnancy - you are the best, love you!!!

We are 38 weeks today - so hard to believe. Chad worked really hard over the weekend making sure that Ava's closet was cleaned out and ready for all of her cute little outfits. We are both doing a little "nesting", trying to make sure that everything is just so so for our little peanut's arrival.

We're down to 20 days....

What a busy day it was today! I had my 37 week doctor's appointment, which went very well. The Doctor told me to be sure and have my overnight bag packed because it could be any day at this point. It has been such a weird feeling waking up every morning wondering if today is the day that little Ava will come meet us. For the past 9 months I've been wondering and dreaming about this precious little baby growing inside of me, wondering what she will look like and what her little personality will be like, and soon we will have to wonder no more......I am definitely ready :)

After my appointment I visited Ava's new pediatricians office - I feel very good about the group of doctors that will be caring for her. They are located about 5 minutes from our house and everyone that goes there has had nothing but great things to say. Selecting a doctor's office was one of the last few things on my "to do" list, so I am relieved to have that done.

This afternoon Chad's work honored him with a special baby shower for Ava and I was invited as well. They decorated one of the conference rooms and had all kinds of yummy snacks and refreshments for everyone. We were showered with gifts - Chad and I felt so blessed to be the recipients of such kindness and generosity. Many many thanks to all of the wonderful friends at NuVox -- we truly appreciate all that you did to make today so special.

27 Days and counting.....

Well, we are counting down the days until Ava's arrival. Her room is ready, most all of her little clothes have been washed and put away, now we are just waiting for our little peanut to make her debut. Yesterday was my 36 week appointment and I received a fantastic report! Our little Ava makes me so proud already, her head has dropped down low into birthing position so she is doing everything she needs to do to get ready for her big day! The doctor was very happy with my blood pressure and weight and estimates that Ava will be a very average sized baby, not much larger than 7 lbs by the time of her arrival.

Today I had a wonderful surprise....my co-workers surprised me with a baby shower at Sabroso's. I was under the impression that we were having a going away party for one of our full time tellers, but when I arrived, I saw that there was a cake welcoming Ava and then they pointed out an area full of presents. I couldn't believe that they had been planning it without me finding out! We received so many adorable outfits for Ava and lots of wonderful necessities that we were needing -- thank you to everyone for your generosity and all the work that went into planning such an evening, it was such a special time for me -- you guys are the best!! I appreciate your support and feel so lucky to work with such an amazing group of people. Many thanks to my Bank of America family - I can't wait for you to meet Ava!!
